Desiderius Beck ("† 1877) was a royally Bavarian court physician. It opened the first Bavarian brine and moorland mud public swimming pool in bath Aibling in the rose lane, the later Ludwig bath to 1845.

It failed because of the missing business fate and because of the substantial refusal of the Aiblinger population. Only as 1857 the railway bath Aibling with visitors supplied, the idea by the entrepreneur Karl von was again taken up. Its public swimming pool got 1871 in honours of the Bavaria king the name Ludwig bath, which it carries until today.

Its earnings/services for bath Aibling were honored, it kept two years before its death, 1875 the honour citizenry of the city only late.

Today the city bath Aibling assigns those to its memory dedicated Desiderius Beck medal irregularly to earned personalities.
