Friedrich Karl Dietrich falcon (* 13 August 1927 in Coswig (notion), physician and specialist for medical microbiology and Infektiologie, was 1969 to 1992 professor for medical microbiology in Mainz with the major tasks research, teachings and diagnostics and is an author of medical technical literature over microbiology, Virologie and Infektiologie.

Life

Dietrich falcon grew up as a son of the practical physician Dr. Friedrich falcon and its wife Gertrud Eleonore falcon in Coswig. In the Second World War it was following as of February 1943 until Septembers of 1944 Air Force aids, until December 1944 in the realm work service. On 14 December 1944 falcon was drawn, came into English war shank and fled into March 1946 into the Soviet zone of occupation at that time.

On 15 July 1946 he put the Abitur down at the Goethe school into Dessau. He worked until 1947 in the agriculture. From January to April 1948 he was auxiliary patient male nurse at the district hospital in Osterburg (old Mark) and from May to December 1948 unsalaried employee in "„the Bakteriologi investigation place "“in Husum. Subsequently, he worked until April 1949 as a Laborant in the district hospital at that time Husum and developed a photometer for clinical-chemical investigations.

From 1949 to 1954 falcon studied in Kiel and medicine and in the first three terms also chemistry, made the medical state examination and attained a doctorate with the thesis: "„The blood picture with guinea pigs infected with Queensland fever "“. From 1 April 1955 to 31 August 1957 he worked under professor Dr. Erich Traub as scientific coworkers on the federal research institute for virus diseases of the animals in afterwards up to 31. March 1965 as a scientific assistant of Professor Dr. R. Siegert at Hygieneinstitut of the Philipps university Marburg, where it habilitierte itself in February 1964 to the topic "„the Vermehrung of Herpes viruses in culture cells "“for the subject medical microbiology.

During its Marburger time he married on 16 July 1960 Inge Schmidt Westerkamp. It was 1960/61 during a one year's study stay in national institute the OF Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, the USA actively.

it changed 1965 as Virologe to Institut for medical microbiology at the Johannes good mountain university Mainz, at which it took over an unscheduled Professur starting from 1969 and starting from 1972 as a department manager of the again-created department for experimental Virologie a C3-Professur. It led the department for experimental Virologie over its retirement in August 1992 outside up to the year 1995. In the years 1975 to 1985 it has additionally a training order for Virologie to DOES Darmstadt noticed.

In addition Dietrich falcon is an author of medical technical literature over microbiology, Virologie and Infektiologie, whose new editions he updates as Emeritus regularly.

On 21 April 1995 it received January Jessenius gold medal of the Slowaki academy of the sciences (SAV) in Bratislava and Paul Ehrlich silver medal of the Paul Ehrlich institute (PEI) in being enough.
