Digitally ate management (abbreviation DAM) is the storage and administration of arbitrary digital contents, in particular from medium files such as diagrams, video, music files, text modules. Within the medialen range it partly also than Media ate management (MAM) designated. It belongs to the range of the content management systems.

Typical functions

Main functions in digital ate management system are:

  • Import/export of files, if necessary with conversion of format,
  • Enrich from binary files with Meta information (for search purposes),
  • Searches of files,
  • Announcements, sighting (if necessary listening to) files,
  • Combine from files to packages,
  • Archiving and Versionieren files.

Digitally ate management can manually or automates to be addressed. Some systems are accessible also for external suppliers or Dienstleister, so that a simple exchange of the data is faster possible in the context of production.
