The discharge management (management also phase out) is concerned contrary to the approach management with the purposeful adjustment of the inventories of running out products to declining production numbers. The focus is thereby on logistics, in particular on the internal and external suppliers, to the original equipment Manufacturer (oem) as well as spare part nature (ET).

A goal of the discharge management is it, situations of a material over and/or - understocking with the appropriate financial consequences during the discharge to avoid. It is crucial with the fact that supply security is ensured.
