Echo Moskwy dt. echo Moscow) is a Russian Radiosender from Moscow. Echo Moskwy originates from the Glasnost time. When in the Soviet Union under Mikhail Gorbatschow 1990 for the first time non-governmental media became certified, a group of journalists with a starting capital of 150.000 roubles echo Moskwy based. The first transmission was radiated on 22 August 1990. On the transmission license number one is this very day proud the Radiosender.

Editor-in-chief von Echo Moskwy is Alexej Wenediktow. 66 per cent of the stock shares holds the national Gazprom company, the remainder of the portions belongs to the editorship members. The editorship statute prescribes that the editorial course of the transmitter is determined exclusively by the editor-in-chief.
