Under the name Economiesuisse (mark: economiesuisse) figuriert the federation of Swiss enterprises. The name is compound from the French words (economics) and "“suisse"” (Swiss). The federation defines itself as a broadly supported roof federation and/or as voice of the economy.

Economiesuisse was created on 15 September 2000 in Lausanne. As federation of Swiss enterprises Economiesuisse came out from the Swiss handels and Industrieverein (suburb) and wf, society for the promotion of the Swiss economy. Economiesuisse understands itself as an interest representative of the economy during the political process, it represents the attached members both on national and on international level.

As lobby organization Economiesuisse tries to exert influence on the parliament. Classical way represents the federation thereby restaurant economics request: More sole responsibility, less welfare state, free trade, less interference by the state; the latter in particular in the ranges of the ecology and the work law.
