The organization European information, Communications and Consumer Electronics Industry Technology Association, briefly EICTA, is a combination of 32 national electronics federations from 24 countries and over 50 large electrical enterprises of Europe, the USA and Japan.

To the EICTA members among other things Apple, Blaupunkt, belong Canon, Dell, Epson, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Infineon, Intel, Lexmark, LG Electronics, Matsushita, Microsoft, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Philips, Sanyo, Siemens, Sony, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments and Toshiba. The EICTA is the international controlling body of the German branch federation BITKOM.

The EICTA assigns among other things the "“hp ready"” - to label.
