Emil baron von Dungern' * 26 November 1867 in peppering castle, "† 4 September 1961 in Ludwigshafen at the Bodensee was German internalist

v. Dungern went until 1887 into Freiburg into mash gau on the High School. Here as well as at the Universities of Munich and Berlin he studied afterwards medicine. After graduation and license to practise medicine in the year 1892 he habilitierte himself 1896 in Freiburg, where it became 1902 a.o. Professur. From 1906 to 1913 it worked as a director of the biological department of the institute for cancer of Vincenz Czerny in Heidelberg, before it became to appoint it to the point of the institute for cancer of the clinical center in Hamburg Eppendorf, which it led until 1918.

As Serologe, bacteriologist and a physiologist has Emit of Dungern world-wide reputation. Particularly its research of group of bloods as well as Ludwik Hirszfeld (Ludwig deer field) affected innovative and to new realizations the area of the paternity regulation led. With him it led 1910 in a work as the first the proof to the heritability from Karl of the Landsteiner starting from 1901 discovered and differentiated groups of bloods. In addition it developed an important researcher activity in the area of the immunity teachings and the cancer illness.
