End OF pipe technologies (too German: at the end of the tube) additives are environmental protection measures. They change not the production process, but reduce the environmental impact by measures downstream. Examples are particle filters or desulfurization plants.

In the past the German order right favoured it: Certain limit values could be fallen below only by this technology. Slowly becomes generally accepted however another, environmentalmore careful form, integrated environmental protection.
