By enterprise history one understands the scientific investigation and documentation of the history of individual enterprises in particular their action and decision-making processes. For it historical methods are used paired with economical knowledge. In the scientific landscape it is part of restaurant history in addition, social history.

Usually large and steeped in tradition companies have a well documented enterprise history.
