The term enterprise network designates an organization form of economic activities, which is characterized by medium-term stable, aiming at the reaching of advantages by competition, cooperative relations between usually dependent, legally however independent enterprises.

Kinds

A strategic network is on a long-term basis put on and is rather hierarchically characterized. As example here Franchising is mentioned.

A cooperative network does not show a uniform strategy. As example here a rationalization community is mentioned.

Furthermore is to be differentiated between dynamic and stable networks.
