The enterprise strategy is an exact, long-term plan of the procedure, in order to achieve the defined goals of an enterprise, the company targets in such a way specified.
The basic strategy of an enterprise specifies the substantial "march direction "to an enterprise for the next 5 to 10 years. It contains thus in more generally however obligatory way the intentions, the emphasis and the priorities for the long-term development of the enterprise. Therefore it serves for all later, concrete decisions than basis, i.e. all decisions are to be aligned to it. It is a strictly confidential paper, which only high-level personnel is delivered.
By means of the enterprise strategy the five basic questions of an enterprise are answered:
The answer of these five strategy central issues requires new strategy instruments for the immaterial range of the enterprise.
The company targets are derived from (enterprise) the mission. The enterprise mission again is derived from (enterprise) the vision. From vision, mission, action results the motivation for the establishment and maintenance of an enterprise. Vision, mission and action form among other things also a basis of the Corporate Identity (CI), which contains for its part again the defined enterprise strategy.
Apart from the understanding of enterprise strategy, outlined above, exists still another second beginning in the strategic management, which calls the sample and/or the regularities, which points themselves to the river of the actions and decisions of an enterprise enterprise strategy. Enterprise strategy is regarded in this understanding as emergentes phenomenon, which reveals itself to the enterprise and/or its guidance usually only afterwards.
