Ernest Henri Besnier (* 21 April 1831 in Honfleur, in normandy, France; " 15. May 1909 in Paris) was a French dermatologist and a medical director of the pc. Louis in Paris.
It inserted the Histopathologie and Parasitologie in the hospital and invented the technology of the Biopsie. It described for the first time the chronic skin changes of the Sarkoidose and coined/shaped for it the term lupus pernio. Together with Pierre Adolphe Adrien Doyon (1827-1907) it created the magazine Annales de dermatologie et de syphiligraphie.
