Ernst Amme (* 11 January 1863 in Uetze; "† 20 December 1930 in Mukden (China)) were a German engineer and Industrieller.

Life and work

The Mueller son Amme worked after his study first in the Braunschweiger "„engine works and institute for building of mills G. Luther "“. In the year 1895 it created the institute for building of mills in Braunschweig as well as his former teammates Carl Giesecke and Julius Konegen "„Amme, Giesecke and Konegen "“(AGK). In the year 1908 the enterprise with 2.300 coworkers was largest engine works in the duchy Braunschweig. After arms production during the First World War and the return to the peacetime production fused the AGK 1925 with G. Luther and firmierte under the new name MIAG ("„building of mills and industrial share company "“, 1972 of taken over). Amme was appointed in the year 1912 the Kommerzienrat and received 1919 the TH Braunschweig. It was member of the Braunschweigi federal state parliament. Amme died 1930 on a business trip in China.

After it the seriousness Amme road is designated in Braunschweig.
