Light was probably born as son of the sugar manufacturer and Magdeburger of local politician Ernst Christoph light and its wife Johanna Katharina Meitzendorf. It operated in Sudenburg at the house number 9, Sudenburg had still no street names, at least already starting from 1817, probably together with August light, a sugar factory.

The road to this factory lay, received later the name brightening race.
