Ernst Moro (* 8 December 1874 in loaf oh, "† 17 April 1951 in Heidelberg) was a German child physician.

It studied medicine in Graz and became after its graduation 1899 assistant at the there paediatric clinic. 1906 it habilitierte in Munich, 1911 became it an extraordinary professor for child medicine in Heidelberg, where it led the paediatric clinic Luisenanstalt in Heidelberg. 1919 he first full professor for child medicine in Heidelberg, 1923 was taken over the Luisenanstalt by the state as university paediatric clinic.

1936 could Moro be emeritieren on own desire because of the National Socialist race laws, since his Mrs. Grete of Jewish origin was. Until 1948 it operated private practice in Heidelberg still another. Apart from the Moro reflex it proved the also following bases:

  • Sterility of the normal small intestine
  • Satisfied children have stronger bactericidal characteristics in the blood
  • described the "“navel colic attacks"”
  • Coinage term "“first Trimenon"”.
  • Moro reaction (percutaneous Tuberculin reaction).
