After the printer with one maintenance-automat-resounds success had had, Schoemperlen acquired 1898 a used Benz Velo. After it it created the automobile Centrale, an autoworkshop briefly. In the following time it acquired the general agency for vehicles of the South German automobile company Gaggenau, which was then bought up by the Benzwerken. Thus it developed quasi the first autohouse.

it created 1908 together with the buyer walter guest, for who it had carried out coincidentally breakdown assistance and had accompanied it with a Herkomer competition as an arbitrator, the company Schoemperlen and Gast.

1938 withdrew themselves Schoemperlen and guest from the business life. Later successors became its son Kurt ("† 1941) and (1959-1973) his nephew Edgar Schoemperlen. 1998 were converted the enterprise into the S&G automobile AG. It drives and waits with 1300 coworkers of vehicles of the marks Mercedes Benz, smart, Mitsubishi and Kia out in bathing and Saxonia-Anhalt.

1988 were brought the seriousness Schoemperlen donation to the promotion of research and theory in the area of automotive technology and motor vehicle economy at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) into being.
