Ernst von Borsig (* 13 September 1869 in Berlin; " 6 January 1933 in Berlin) was a German large-scale manufacturer.
Ernst von Borsig originates from an industrial magnate family. In the year 1904 he transferred the line of the company August Borsig, which manufactured mainly locomotives. it belonged to 1910 with a fortune from 22 million Marks to the 60 richest men in Prussia.
It was considerably involved in the education of the central working group of the industriellen and commercial employer and employee. It was committee member of the cent ral federation of German Industrieller and since its establishment in February 1919 of the realm federation of the German industry. 1924 he became a chairman of the combination of the German employers' associations. It was member in the club of Berlin.
After the First World War it supported financially the free corps (e.g. the brigade Ehrhardt) and became starting from 1922 one of the most important backers of the NSDAP.
