Serious William knight of bridge (* 6. June 1819 in Berlin; "† 7 January 1892 in Vienna) was a German physiologist.

  • 1842 graduation to the Dr. med. at the University of Berlin.
  • 1843 assistant with Johannes Mueller
  • 14. January 1845 establishment of the physical society to Berlin with Emil you Bois Reymond, Heinrich Dove and other one in Berlin in the house of the physicist Heinrich Gustav Magnus. From the physical society to Berlin later the German physical society followed.
  • 1848 professor for physiology at the University of king mountain
  • 1849 to 1890 professor for physiology at the University of Vienna.
