The European Society OF Cardiology (ESC) is the European-wide lobby federation of the Kardiologen, which was created on 2 September 1950 on the occasion of the first Kardiologie world congress in Paris and its head office "European Heart House" in the Southern French Sophia Antipolis has. In the year 2004 it covered 47 national professional associations, 24 working groups, a scientific arbitration committee and over 37.000 individual members.

Structure
