One differentiates the European right with respect to the further and strictly speaking. In the broader sense the right of the Council of Europe is meant with the European human right convention. Strictly speaking it designates the right of the European union and the European communities.

European right in the broader sense

The European right in the broader sense includes - apart from the European right strictly speaking - also the right of the other European organizations like Western European union, Council of Europe, OECD and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Euro also.

This right subject differs from the European right strictly speaking by the organization forms. The European communities are organized supranationally, their legislation find in the member states direct or by national laws application. In contrast to it organizations are organized like the Council of Europe internationally, their right are international law and bind therefore only by the national conversion.
