Feature Driven development (FDD) is a methodology for the feature-based development of software systems. Methodology belongs to the group of the Agilen software development methodologies.

Principles

With the feature Driven development is divided the development in 5 phases. For each phase there is a uniform arrangement:

- Entrance criteria
- Activities
- Measures for verification
- Conclusion criteria

Phase 1: Development of a spreading model

Phase 2: Production of a list of features

Phase 3: Production of a feature plan

Phase 4: Design per feature

Phase 5: Implementation per feature
