The Federal association of the German industry registered association (BDI) is an association with seat in Berlin (in former times Cologne).

As central organization within the range of the industrial enterprises and industrialnear Dienstleister in Germany he represents a federation of federations, in which the trade associations and working groups of the industry are organized. It represents the politico-economic interests of the German industry at home and abroad and speaks up-to-date for approximately 100,000 enterprises with 8 million persons employed.
