The fee is the remuneration of freelance achievements, for example from artists, lawyers, physicians and architects:

The word originally comes from latin of honorarium (honour gift) and is derived from "“honor"” (honour). Since self-employed persons cannot live wages received - they are finally "“free"” -, in addition, not "“from air alone"”, they accept only these "„gifts "“.

With actors and photo models the fee is called also fee.

When one designates loss fee the remuneration of a self-employed person, who furnished its achievement, this is however not used (e.g. with customs commercial artists, speakers). Loss fees are usual at a value of 50% of the originally agreed upon fee.
