Feeling advantage is a term from the regional economics, with which a so-called "“more softly"” location factor is described. In this connection also terms are used like "“innovative environment"”.

Feeling advantage describes the advantage of a close spatial contact (feeling) of the involved ones. This makes spontaneous knowledge exchange possible, for example over personal meeting.

Institutions settle gladly in areas, in which a certain structure is present already. Thus research enterprises settle gladly in close proximity to universities. Feeling advantages lead to fast contacts to authorities, universities and enterprises in the same industry.
