Ferranti Semiconductors was one of the early manufacturers of ICs, resident in the English Oldham. The company was taken over 1987 by Plessey, which were bought up again by GEC, whereby parts of the original Ferranti, which as label name was resumed, went at Zentex Semiconductors.

Probably most well-known product is the SCL of the ZX81, an application of the ULA.
