Field marshal second lieutenant (shortened FML) was a military status, those in the German realm Reich of 17. Century until 1806 and in the army from Austria Hungary to 1918 existed and a third-highest officer and/or general rank there was. In the Hungarian army the rank existed until 1921 away.

Rank is comparable with the lieutenant general of the German German Federal Armed Forces or the Austrian federal army, the field marshal second lieutenant mostly led as a division commander the instruction across a division.
