The film courier appeared from 1919 to 1945 in Berlin was one of the most influential German film magazines and the first German film sheet, which appeared daily.

The emphasis of the newspaper-similarly opened sheet, for the first time to 30. May 1919 appeared, formed current messages from the film nature, which was supplemented by reports over neighboring territories such as theatres, maintenance, mode or sport. The first two sides addressed themselves with film criticisms, feuilleton articles, the play plan of the citizens of Berlin cinema etc. to a broad public, the third side were addressed to specialists and the fourth side contained adverts.

From an illustrated supplement, which was manufactured in the low pressure and so improved illustrations permitted, pictorials film courier, a program developed to important films, which was sold in the cinemas. The pictorials of film couriers partially appearing in million-edition formed an important financial support of the publishing house.

1940 were combined the film courier with "„the photo stage "“and 1943 also with the sheet "„the film "“. From October 1944 it appeared under the title "„film message on - news sheet for the entire range of the German film work "“. In March 1945 the appearance was stopped.

The edition amounted to 1934 8,500 pieces and 1938 8,704 pieces.

The newspaper is present in a computer output microfilm, to which CineGraph and German Kinemathek compiled a film courier index.

Almost complete collections of all expenditures pictorials of the film courier are present today in different German film libraries, among other things in the German Kinemathek, in German Filminstitut - DIF in Frankfurt and in the film museum potsdam.
