Florena is a Kosmetik mark, which admits in particular from the GDR is. It was one of the Rennomier marks of the GDR and is one of the marks, which survived the turn.

The beginnings continue to decrease however already much. The company, from which late Florena should become, was already created 1852 by A.H.A. Bergmann, under the name "“Waldheimer and toilet soap factory"”. The label name Florena was registered for the first time 1920 with the realm patent office in Munich.

The company became 1946 state-owned enterprise and carried as far as 1970 the name "“Rosodont work forest home"”. Already in the 50's however under the name Florena were already offered a pallet of different Kosmetik products. The first Florena cream in the blue-white box - similar to the Nivea box in the west - was offered starting from 1960.

Since the turn the company firmiert now as Florena Cosmetik GmbH. It has not only in the east of Germany large success, but is also market leader in many Eastern European countries. Many drugstore markets and supermarket chains in the west lead however no Florena products. Since the year 2002 Florena is a 100%ige subsidiary of the Beiersdorf Co. AG.
