The Fourier (from ahd. "“more vuoter"” and/or franz. more fourrier, fodder = food supply) is a higher NCO in Swiss army, which is the guidance assistant of a commander of unit. It is responsible in this function for the food supply, food supply distribution and the pay of the troop. The troop accountant, who is a kitchen boss him subordinated, stands for it to the side.
