Franz Dieter Daschner (* 18. May 1940 in Regensburg) is a German physician.
After Abitur Daschner studied 1959 at the music High School of the Regensburger Domspatzen as a scholarship holder of the Cusanuswerkes medicine at the University of Munich. After the state examination 1965 he was a scientific assistant at the university paediatric clinic in Munich in the department for antimicrobial therapy. 1968 he put that down American state examination into medicine and was afterwards active as Infectious Disease Fellow to the Harvard Medical School/Boston as well as at the Cedars Sinai Medical center, University OF California, Los Angeles.
From 1970 to 1975 he was a scientific assistant at the university paediatric clinic in Munich and habilitierte himself there 1975 for child medicine. 1976 it was appointed as a director/conductor of the centers mechanism hospital hygiene to the university clinic Freiburg, where he is since 1992 a director of the institute for environmental medicine and hospital hygiene.
Daschner is one of the most formed scientists for hygiene and environmental medicine.
