The Franz Josef bunch price is an honor for outstanding achievements in politics, economics, art and culture. It is lent since 1996 in memory of the political life's work of the Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef bunch by the Hanns Seidel donation.

The donation appreciates thereby outstanding achievements in politics, economics, art and culture. In particular the price lent at personalities, who in outstanding way for peace, liberty and right, for democracy and international communication to have used themselves or the special services within the ranges economics, science and technology as well as literature and art to have rendered.
