Sir Frederick Gowland Hopkins (* 20 June 1861 in Eastbourne, Sussex; "† 16. May 1947 in Cambridge) was an English biochemist.

Hopkins is considered as a founder of the Vitaminforschung. In the milk he discovered the Vitamine A and B. with the amino acids discovered he Glutathion and Tryptophan.

For the discovery of the growth-promoting Vitamine it kept 1929 common with Christiaan Eijkman to the Nobelpreis for physiology or medicine.
