Ganttchart is in the marketing and management a name for a graphic illustration of orders. The orders are represented as horizontal bars of a certain length. Hereunder applies: The longer the bar, the more largely is the number of items of the order concerned. On the left side vertically resources the available (e.g. machines) are cleared away (y axis). The x axis illustrates the time. Thus it is possible to assign to each order resources and to determine the beginning and/or end time of the order.
