George Harrison Shull (* 15 April 1874 in Clark County, Ohio, the USA; " 28 September 1954 in Princeton, new jersey) was an US-American Botaniker and Pflanzengenetiker.
Shull discovered the Heterosis effect with corn. Due to its discovery the yield could be increased with corn production over up to 50%. Today only hybrid corn comes to the Ansaat in economically working enterprises.
