Addition

The main sense of the different customs unions was natural beside the penetration of Prussian dominance in the German small states and the simultaneous out pushing of Austria, the Binnenzollvereinheitlichung and/or their abolishment (see further down still more exact), the introduction of the French, metric system (with abolishment of all regional mass); thus the consistent introduction of the meter, the gram and the litre. To the franc and thus to the entry into latin did not come it then as well known any longer.

Here is to be reminded also of three important German which were the direct effect of the establishment of the German customs union of 1834 and which the conditions for the uniform German realm Reich (Goldmark) created starting from 1871 for the Wilhelmini empire of 1871-1918:

1. Resident of Munich 1837:

Creation uniform 24 1/2-gulden foot for the as well as uniform fractional coins to down to the in e.g. Bavaria, Baden, Nassau and others

2. Dresden 1838:

Unification Gulden currency in 24 the 1/2-gulden foot with the Prussian Taler in the 14-Talerfuss, i.e. creation of a "“association coin"” to 2 Taler = 3, valid in all states, 1/2 gulden.

Note: Saxonia divided its Vereinstaler into 30 new groschens A 10 new Pfennig and coin-coining/shaping one A 100 new Pfennig. One could see this coin as forerunners of the later particularly since she applied up to their Ausserkurssetzung after 1874 also exactly 1 Mark!

3. Viennese 1857:

The former 14-Talerfuss on weight Mark basis (A 233.855 g) is changed into a 30-Talerfuss on tariff Pound basis (A 500g). The simple (and doubled) Taler was called now Vereinstaler and was coursable until 1907 in Germany as The Taler was coined/shaped main association coin and also by the South German gulden countries!

Germany and Austria coined/shaped a uniform, rough starting from 1857:

2 Taler = 3 1/2 gulden (= 3 gulden as well as the

Even Luxembourg (however without own association coins) and Liechtenstein (only Einfachtaler of 1862) were temporarily united in this monetary union with Germany and Austria!
