The German future price is an honor for a maximum performance in the ranges art, economic science, technology, engineer or natural sciences. Application and marketability as well as the job creation are exactly the same considered thereby like outstanding innovations. The price is expenditure-praised by the Federal President and is endowed with 250.000 euro. He is assigned annually since 1997.

2004 went the price to the institute for Fraunhofer for silicon technology into Itzehoe (ISIT). Together with Siemens and Infineon Institut developed a "“laboratory on the chip"”.

In the year 2005 a team received the price for the development of the Piezo Injektoren.Piezo injectors in such a way specified from researchers Robert Bosch GmbH and from Siemens under the leadership from Dipl. Ing. Friedrich Boecker and Dipl. Ing. Klaus Egger is essentially a splashes with a strongly improved valve gear. This means a large progress within the range of the technology from Diesel and shortly also Otto engines. Not only the consumption of such an engine is reduced strongly, but increased by the use of Piezo injectors altogether its environment-friendliness.
