The DPRG - German Public relation society registered association is the professional association of the Public of relation specialists in Germany. It has its seat in Bonn and represents approximately 1,700 members.
The history of the DPRG is closely connected with the German history of the public work.
The DPRG was created 1958 in Cologne. Among their 17 initial members among other things the German PR-pioneers Carl dog living and Albert Oeckl ranked. Dog-live their first president, before Oeckl stated the DPRG starting from 1961.
Over decades the DPRG was the largest branch federation of the PR-economy in Germany. In the year 2005 this position was made contentious for it by only briefly before the created Federal association of German press speakers (BdP). This however exclusively contacts PR-responsible person from enterprises and organizations, while the DPRG understands itself as a professional association of the entire PR-industry (thus also coworker from agencies or e.g. universities).
Central request of the DPRG are systematic exchange of experience, promotion of young people and quality assurance.
DPRG members are obligated to adhere to the internationally agreed upon PR-Ethikkodizies "code de Lisbonne" and "code Together with the society Public relation agencies registered association (GPRA) is the DPRG since 1987 carriers of the German advice for Public relation (DRPR), a mechanism to the freiwilligen self-check of the PR-specialists.
The DPRG lends numerous prices, among them the "German PR-price" and "Albert Oeckl with whom scientific termination work is distinguished by students.
The DPRG is international over the membership in the European combination of the PR-federations "CERP" Europenne of the Publiques) and that world-wide "IPRA" (internationally Public relation Association) transacts linked.
Present president of the DPRG is Ulrich sneezes, which could become generally accepted 2005 in one - much-considered in the industry - election campaign against W. Leipziger. It manages the altogether presidency. Geographically the DPRG is divided into land and groups of regional, which differ in size, and influence strongly. Besides exist different committees and working group, e.g. the training adviser and the Fachkomission juniors.
