Giovanni Arcolani (Ionnis Herculani) (* around 1390; "† 1458) were a professor of the surgery and the medicine in Bologna (1422-1427) and in Padua. Its teachings are based upon the Arab authors such as and Avicenna.Er wrote under the title Practice a paper of the surgery, which was published 1483 in Venice. This work is the reason for the fact that it is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Kieferchirurgie. Except a description for the filling of Karies with gold foil its book contains passes of the used instruments.
