Glaxo was a Pharmaunernehmen of New Zealand, which existed from 1873 to March 1995. After the assumption of Burroughs Wellcome & company 1995 the name in Glaxo Wellcome was changed.

As the first medical product Glaxo sold a Vitamin D-preparation.

Later then the break-through with (active substance succeeded: Ranitidin).
