God-help Heinrich of Schubert (* 26 April 1780 in Hohenstein Ernstthal; "† 30 June 1860 in run anger with Munich) was a German physician and natural scientist.

Life

It began to study first theology, however 1801 changed to the medicine and established themselves afterwards as a practicing physician in old person castle (Thuringia). It gave its practice up however and dedicated themselves in Dresden of a free scientific activity.

It held much-considered lectures on the Nachtseiten of the natural science (animalischer magnetism, light seeing, dreams). 1819 he received a chair in attaining for natural history. It read there among other things over Botanik, Geognosie, mineralogy and forest sciences and changed for the last time for 1827 its residence, since it became to appoint as a professor for general natural history to Munich, where it found an embittered opponent in Lorenz Oken. Schubert was considered as a genius of the friendship.

Work

Its interest applied for a religiously founded total interpretation of the cosmos. Its 1814 published Hauptwerk the symbolism of the dream belonged to the most influential books its time, whose effect over E.T.A. Hoffmann reaches up to Sigmund Freud and C.G. young. Lively of the philosophers of the romance, Schubert opened a "“erweckliches Christianity"” for its pupils in the reference to the traces of God in nature and in the human soul from width. By its synthesis from simple Bible faith and Schelling nature philosophy he finally became a successful of the late clearing-up. In its published work the history of the soul, Schubert a last attempt undertook 1830 to submit the romantic-idealistic nature and cultural philosophy Herders and Schellings of a Christian total interpretation.
