Henry Cotton (* 1876 in"…; "† 1933 in"…) an American psychiatrist and director/conductor of a famous psychiatric hospital were in Trenton, new jersey. Cotton was advocate of a disputed theory: He believed that the cause was nearly each psychiatric illness a local infection (teeth, Tonsillen, stomach intestine). By partly very radical operations Cotton tried to help its patient.

Although Cottons therapies were a little successful and demanded a large number of victims, he remained a recognized psychiatrist.
