Henryk Dobrzycki (* 5 January 1841 in Kalisch, Poland, "† 7. March 1914 in Warsaw) was a famous Polish physician, Philantrop, a music scientist and a composer.

Life

Studies

Dobrzycki came in the steeped in tradition city Kalisch as a son of the city official Hipolit Dobrzycki and his Mrs. Barbara geb. Lipska to the world. It received the medical diploma in the year 1864 at the Warsaw hauptschule. To his teachers and later coworkers many medical famousnesses of the epoch belonged, like Tytus Chalubinski and Franciszek Sokalski.

Vocational activity

Already as a student of the medicine Dobrzycki wounded maintained the insurgent yearly 1863. Scientific activity

Henryk Dobrzycki did not possess scientific titles or degrees, was however nevertheless a scientific authority recognized world-wide. It took Rome at congresses of physician in Vienna, (1873), (1894) and sank Petersburg, (1898) part. On its request the international section of the medical press was created. He was also founder of the Warsaw magazine "“Klinika "" ("“hospital"”) and main editor of the magazine "“Medycyna i kronika lekarska"” ("“medicine and medical chronicle"”). Activity in the area of the culture
