Hermann Friedrich Teichmeyer (* 30 April 1685 in Hann. Flow; " 5 February 1746 in Jena) was a German physician. He was father-in-law Albrecht of Hallers.
Teichmeyer had 1717 a tidy Professur for experimental physics, 1719 also for medicine, 1727 also for Botanik at the University of Jena and was a pioneer of the court medicine. it held lectures on the autopsy for the first time for 1724 in Jena. From it one of the first right-medical text books of the German Reich Institutiones medicinae comes legalis vel forensis (1723), in German translation under the title Hermann Friedrich Teichmeyers instruction for the judicial Arzneygelahrheit: worinnen the most distinguished subjects theils in the civil life in such a way before-fall theils bey courts and to be discussed. (Nuremberg: at expense the stone and Raspi bookshop, 1752).
