The hessian broadcast (HR) is an institute of the public right (national broadcasting corporation) for the country Hessen with seat in Frankfurt/Main. The HR is member of the pool of broadcasting corporations.

Studios

Today's programs

• hr1 - Information program. On 30 August 2004 the transmitter started a completely new program under the name radio magazine hr1 with magazine transmissions under titles such as Vita, Metro and Lounge. The transmission names Mobil, Prisma and Meridian.Website were maintained.

Earlier programs

• HR-XXL - the predecessor (1998-2003) of You of FM. Contrary to the chartorientierten You of FM hr-XXL set on alternative youth music. The name was derived from the earlier hr3-Abendsendung hr3-XXL. Also the traditional on Friday evening was pushed when establishment into this program.
• HR-chronos. The earlier information program of the Mr. contrary to HR info. ran here however above all repetitions of hr1 and hr2-Sendungen, complete information magazines, foreigner programs and special transmissions. HR-chronos 2003 were adjusted and delivered its frequencies at HR-skyline.
• HR-skyline was conceived 1998 as economics and stock exchange program. After the starting from 2002 a reformatting was made toward message radio; 2004 were then finally replaced the program by HR info.

Frequencies

The programs HR info. and YOU FM are not radiated for lack of available frequencies surface covering over UKW. HR info. is country-wide over medium wave 594 kHz too received (starting from 19 o'clock foreigner program).
