The housing industry is an industry, which is concerned with production, financing, management and marketing of real estates. The housing industry is a branch of the real estate economy.
The participants in the housing industry let themselves be divided into the following groups:
Housing enterprises manage and administer own housing existence. The size of housing enterprises is indicated primarily as number of administered dwellings (incoming goods = housing units). Typical housing enterprises administer existence in the order of magnitude of several thousand incoming goods, large enterprises of several ten thousand incoming goods. The primary business activity is the administration of flat lets for rent, which are sales profits therefore to the predominant part tenant-solve (target rent and operating cost). Besides dwellings are sold in the form of residential property. Housing managements manage and administer the housing existence third. One speaks here also of foreign administration or on trust housing administration. The administered living real estates are either flat lets for rent (usually in houses of private owners) or free-hold flats. Housing managements are thus administration Dienstleister for owners. Their sales profits obtain it from fees for its administrative activity (manager fee).
Private houseowners, which use their living real estates for the own need, step in the housing industry business only into feature, if they operate housebuilding as owners.
