Axel Hugo Theodor Theorell (* 6. July 1903 in –stergtland, Sweden; "† 15 August 1982 in Stockholm, Sweden) was a Swedish biochemist.

Theorell supplied important work over electrophoresis as well as enzymes, here in particular Katalase, Riboflavin and Chytochrom C. 1953 discovered it for the fight against Tuberkulose an antibiotic.

1955 it was distinguished for its discoveries over nature and impact of the oxidation enzymes with the Nobelpreis for physiology or medicine. He worked on the Karolinska Institutet.
