Industrial building two different kinds is called:

• , usually mainly a building of certain size, arranged due to an enterprise of the industry, on the basis of functional criteria.
• Planning and building of such buildings. The owner is a private enterprise from the industry, which needs the building for its production. Special attention in the industrial building is to a building method, which fulfills the requirements owners, who result from its production process on, in as economic a way as possible. Apart from the pure costs of building thereby increasingly also the costs that are considered management over the planned life-span of the building (life cycle management). Except the production process can be further requirements owners relevantly, for example the environment-friendliness or representative purposes (Corporate Design), as well as obligation conditions like official editions and laws or existing other buildings.

Usual buildings are production and assembly workshops, works for the processing of raw materials (chemistry, mining industry, heavy industry"…), Factories with increased requirements of the building services (e.g. Pure space factories), but just as also office buildings as well as all further buildings for the use of the entire plant are necessary.
