Organization

The inspector of the Air Force (InspL) is the highest troop-official superior of the armed service Air Force of the German Federal Armed Forces.

It is responsible for their personnel and material readiness of application, in this function is directly subordinated it to the Federal Minister of the defense. Are subordinate to the inspector the operations staff of the Air Force in the Federal Ministry of the defense as well as the Air Force guidance command with the subordinated units and the office for Air Force with the subordinated training and support mechanisms.

The inspector and its representative dress the rank of a lieutenant general.
