Organization

The inspector of the armed forces basis is the highest responsible person for the armed forces basis of the German Federal Armed Forces.

It is responsible to the personnel and material readiness of application for, it is subordinate to the general inspector of the German Federal Armed Forces. Are subordinate to the inspector the armed forces support command with the subordinated units, office for armed forces with the subordinated training and support mechanisms, as well as troop-officially the employment guidance command. On 1 June 2003 the inspector being subordinate operations staff of the armed forces basis was folded up, with the operations staff of the armed forces of the general inspector of the German Federal Armed Forces. Since then the inspector is a deputy of the general inspector.

The inspector and its representative dress the rank of a Vice Admiral and/or a lieutenant general.
